How many people will be there?
All Milestone workshops are limited to a maximum of 10
delegates to
encourage discussion and interaction.
Is there a dress code?
For workshops held at our hotel venues there is no dress code – so it’s
entirely up to you! Most of our delegates attend the workshops in normal
business dress but you should wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
However please note that if you are attending a Milestone event at any of
the IoD (Institute of Directors) venues, a strict dress code does apply as follows;
IoD Members Directors' Room Dress Code
All IoD premises are a place for business, and in consideration for others,
members and their guests are expected to dress accordingly - at least
'smart casual'. The proprietor reserves the right to exclude members or their
guests if inappropriately dressed - Jeans, T-Shirts, Trainers, Beachwear are
not regarded as appropriate dress. Premises staff have the right to
require members to comply with this, and in appropriate circumstances, to
exercise the Proprietor's rights to refuse admission or require members
and/or guests to leave the premises
Can I park at the venues?
The Milestone hotel is situated directly opposite Kensington Park. Car
parking facilities are available nearby in the form of NCP pay parking. Both
the Copthorne Tara and the Radisson SAS Manchester Airport have limited
parking on a first come basis. In London, should the Copthorne
Tara car park be full on your arrival, the adjacent hotel (The Kensington
Close hotel) has a NCP car park. None of the IoD venues offer parking
but
are conveniently located for NCP and other car parks.
Can Milestone suggest a hotel for the evening prior to the workshop?
An overnight stay prior to the workshop - especially if you have some
distance to travel – will help you start the day feeling fresh rather than
frazzled so you get the most from your day. Milestone are pleased to
provide information about hotels conveniently located in the area but do not
accept any responsibility for parking, service, cost or quality. Please call us
on 0115 714 8066 should you require hotel information.
How long does the workshop last?
Each of our workshops starts at 9.30am and finishes between 4pm and
4.30pm, Tea, coffee and pastries are available from 9am. Reception at each
of the IoD venues opens at 8am. If you do arrive a little earlier than you
anticipated, please do come in and have a coffee with us and relax after
your journey.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No. Pens, notebooks and refreshments are all provided.
What time are the breaks?
The mid-morning coffee break is at 11.00am -11.15am, lunch is usually from
12.45pm - 13.30pm.
What's for lunch?
A buffet lunch, tea, coffee and mineral water is included in your registration
fee and we are pleased to accommodate any special dietary requirements.
If you can, it's always best to let us know beforehand, but should you forget,
please inform a Milestone representative of your requirements when you arrive.
Does the venue have phone, fax and e-mail facilities?
Yes, all Milestone workshop venues have full business facilities.
Is the workshop room air-conditioned?
All the training rooms we use are fully air-conditioned.
Do the workshop venues have facilities for the disabled?
Yes and each of the training rooms allow easy access.
What if someone from the office needs to contact me?
No problem. All messages are given to a Milestone representative who will
ensure they are passed directly to you at break times. The email, phone and
fax numbers for the workshop venue can be found via the link on your
booking confirmation.
Are the workshops interactive?
The level of participation you choose is entirely up to you. Each workshop is
scheduled to allow time for interaction and discussion and all Milestone
workshop leaders invite questions throughout the day.
If you have a specific question which you would like addressed during the
workshop, why not ask us the question beforehand using the Pre-workshop
Questionnaire. The weblink to the Pre-workshop questionnaire will be
included along with your booking confirmation. Your workshop leader is
always available to give one-to-one advice during breaks, at lunch time or
after the workshop has finished.
What if I think of something I should have asked when I'm back in the office?
Simply email us with your question at any time following your workshop or
contact us via our website.
